Biography
Amy Friend is a Canadian artist who works primarily with the photographic medium. She has exhibited nationally and internationally.
In 2013, 2014 and 2015, Friend was selected as one of the 50 best photographs in the Critical Mass International International Photography Competition.
Her work has been featured in publications such as California Sunday Magazine (USA) and GUP Magazine (Amsterdam), she published the Stardust monograph at L'artiere Publishing in Italy and presented her work at ParisPhoto with incamera Galerie. She is working on a new project that links and merges personal archives related to migration with broader perspectives of this experience.
She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Visual Arts at Brock University in Canada.
