Biography

Born June 5, 1956 in Concarneau, France. Antoine Le Grand was born into a family of photographers. His Grandfather was a photographer, sculptor and painter and his Father was a Photographer. He collaborates with many magazines and newspapers: Liberation, Le Monde, Premiére, Jalouse, L'Officiel, Vogue Hommes, Vogue, Glamor, Vanity Fair, W, The New Yorker, GQ, Tétu, Mixte, Elle, El Pais, Vogue German, AD Les Inrockuptibles, etc ……. He also collaborates with record companies like SONY, Universal, Barclay, EMI… and also with dance companies: Philippe Découflé, Giséle Vienne, Constanza Macras, Bill T Jones… ..

Portraitist, Antoine Le Grand readily metamorphoses into a director, pushing his subjects to the frontiers of role-playing, creating for them film noir atmospheres, unforeseen costumes, extreme postures, parodic even ecstatic.
 
More introspective, his parallel works reveal a sometimes spiritual, sometimes sensual sensibility, which leads him to photograph in turn the imprint of ghosts in the night and the surrealist choreographic games of the Frenchman Philippe Decouflé.
