David Ken

Biography

Portraitist and major figure in the world of advertising photography, David Ken is the author of LOL Project. He is often defined as a positive utopian and committed photographer.

Born in Belgium, David Ken lived in Brussels, Milan, New York, and finally to settle in Paris. At age 23 he started his life as a fashion photographer in fashion, almost by accident, and worked with the most prestigious magazines including Vogue Italie, Harpers Bazaar, Amica, Grazia, Elle…

His style movement, added to a touch of sensuality and always-sincere emotion, quickly notices his images. Many brands in the world have been attracted by his photographic eyes: Lancel, L'Oréal, EDF , SFR, Crédit Agricole, Functionnalab, Coca- Cola, Jacob, Joseph, Nice Klaup, Connection, TF1, Yellow Pages, Auchan, Adidas...

Alongside his work in fashion and advertising that he carries between Europe and North America, he took time to develop his own projects, always focused on the human. With William Lafarge (Director creation Agency Pueblo), he imagines the photographic concept of Anges Gardiens where any person giving assistance to fight against cancer is represented and transformed into an angel. For more than four years, he volunteered in photography. He photographed celebrities and anonymous people involved in the fight against cancer (Nikos Aliagas Arthur, Valerie Damidot Michel Jonaz Omar and Fred ... giving birth to a great gallery for Guardian Angels the fight against Cancer.

In September 2009 in the middle of the financial crisis, David Ken began with his accomplice William Lafarge, the LOL Project. A huge gallery of portraits on the magical moment of laughs! Passionates and lovers of Street photography, his other project, still based on humans, Facing Paris will soon give birth to a new book ... At the beginning of 2014, he began a new book project Traits pour traits in collaboration with the writer Nicolas Gouzy .
