Biography
Julien Mauve is a photographer residing in Paris. His photographic work is composed of series with a cinematographic ambience which presents his vision of the world and interrogates the place of humans in the space. He questions our future, the threats that hang over our society, the meaning that we give to our existence and our rapport with science and technology.
Julien’s works have been subject to personal exhibitions in various galleries in Paris, Copenhagen, the USA and next, in November et the Institut Français of Milan. His works have also been exhibited at the Grand Palais,the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, at the Carrousel du Louvre, at the Somerset House in London and at the Rencontres d’Arles. He has been rewarded numerous prizes like the Bourse du Talent in 2018, the Sony World Photography Award in 2016 and the SFR Jeunes Talent Paris Photo in 2013. He has also published two books with Poursuite Editions : L’Indifférence des Étoiles (The Indifference of Stars) in 2016 and Titanic Orchestra in 2017.
