Gregory Wait is an Australian photographer born in Sydney, 1956. His career started in Bangladesh in 1976 where he worked for two years and then travelled & worked between Australia, Papua New Guinea, France, Africa, Nepal and Bangladesh. In 1991 he settled with his French wife and their two daughters in Normandy. He works as a photojournalist, mainly in the department of the Calvados but regularly travels to Bangladesh covering different subjects. His stories have been published in different newspapers and magazines round the world.
Co-founder of Stills Photographic gallery in Sydney, he has published diverse range of books and has had his exhibits in numerous galleries including the Louvre in 2010.
In 2008, he won the 2nd prize for Photo report of the year.
He has won various prizes including the 1st prize of the APPPF photographic award in Stockholm 2009 as well as the 1st prize in THE PHOTOS OF THE YEAR (Landscape) at Paris in 2012.
And now he is the founder of the association ABC (Action Bangladesh Calvados), which supports the education of poor girls in Bangladesh.
