The sound of silence
From January 20 to March 8 2023
Who said that a photograph doesn't make noise? Apprehended for having assaulted a friend, she captivates the brigadier Don José who lets her escape. For her sake, he loses his rank and deserts, embracing the adventurous life of a smuggler. - Breaking the waves, by Missy Mazzoli and Royce Vavrek (28/05 to 31/05): In a strict Calvinist community in the north of Scotland, young Bess, driven by a mystical fervour, falls in love with a stranger who works on an oil rig. Shortly after their marriage, Jan is rescued from an accident. Now paralysed, he urges Bess to seek pleasure from other men, a sacrifice that runs counter to common morality...
