Biography

A native of Pas de Calais, Flory Brisset is touched by the importance of the arts, trades and industries that have marked the territories she moves accross and from which she feeds. From an early age, she develops a manual practice, multiplies artistic activities and over-solicits her body and mind to challenge time and immobility.
In a perpetual movement, Flory moves her ballerina body like her potter's, sculptor's, embroiderer's or architect's hands and reads the world with her fingertips.
Filled with an irrepressible need to create and produce, she invents a language of gesture and body where the hand is a tool for thought and action. "I embroider therefore I live".
Driven by the desire to prolong the tactile sensations and vibrations of her childhood, Flory pursued a course in the textile art profession and then artistic direction at the Duperré School and specialized in embroidery.
She then feels the need to transcend technique and free herself from the dogmas of academicism. While still a student, guided by an infinite quest for freedom, in 2011 Flory created Invenio Flory, a space of freedom where to give body to his work and project his imagination beyond limit in order to inscribe his mark in matter and in time, within the creation of a universe and a personal aesthetic.
Always on the move, Invenio Flory never stops inventing the future of creation and the arts.
