Biography
Olivier Culmann was born in 1970 and has been a photographer since 1992. He is a member of the photography collective Tendance Floue since 1996. His work deals with the recurring questions of freedom and conditioning. He is the author of several books including Les mondes de l'école (Marval, 2001) produced in collaboration with the photographer Mat Jacob and Watching TV (Textuel, 2011). He regularly exhibits his work throughout the world and has won several awards including the Villa Médicis Hors les Murs prize, the SCAM Roger Pic prize and a World Press Photo award (2008).
