    One of the many parkings in downtown Detroit. 58% of the space of downtown is dedicated to the car, be that through vacant lots or parkings in building like this one. Paradoxically, Detroit was born with the car industry & started dying with the upheavals of the emergence of freeways in the 50s & 60s which have emptied its white population (that’s the famous “white flight” to the suburbs).
