20 years worth celebrating! And for the occasion, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of the city of Strasbourg (MAMCS) has invited a collective of street artists until May 2019 to adorn its facade built by Adrien Fainsilber in 1998. Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller, duo based in Brooklyn in the United States, have therefore created a fresco of 1,000 m2 only made in black and white. This illustrates the poem From the Air We Share, inspired by a visit by the two artists to the Alsatian town a year earlier. This poetry mixes legends linked to the cathedral and the history of Strasbourg, with the style that characterizes FAILE, drawing on American comics, stylized posters and rough typography.
