Pondicherry is a city of chiaroscuro, with its visual and conceptual contrasts. The chiaroscuro technique enabled me to reflect these contrasts, and to go beyond the visual aspect by conferring a mysterious, almost dramatic aspect. The volume and depth created allowed me to focus on a subject, a hand, a fabric.. amplifying the atmosphere and aesthetic that I felt so strongly. Adding a poetic touch through emotionally charged images.
