Biographie

Alain Prinzhofer has been an amature photographer since the age of 19. He uses a Leica camera with film and more recently he has been using a large format camera. 

He is also a researcher in geology and geochemistry. He looks for a link between his two passions: scientific research and art.The relationship between the concreteness of geology and human objectives and the imagination permitted by photography have led him to experiment with the deterioration of film by microorganisms (Aspergillus). He seeks to distance himself from documentary without losing his relationship to materiality. 

Recently he has shown his photographic compositions in various galleries in Paris and Rio de Janeiro.
