Biography
Anaïs Boudot has been working in photography for several years, occasionally hybridizing techniques, from film to digital. Her practice is mostly related to "foto povera". She sometimes ventures into the field of video and installation. The approach is sometimes contemplative, sometimes introspective and the photographic medium becomes a tool for translating lived sensations and observations into the image.
More than vision, it is the mental images, the apparitions and the mystery of our experiences that guide his work since 2010. Landscape and light are at the heart of his preoccupations, experienced as mental spaces, the domain of recollection. The boundaries between space and temporality are porous.
Born in Metz in 1984, Anaïs Boudot graduated from the École nationale supérieure de la photographie in 2010 and from the Fresnoy studio in 2013. In 2016, following the exhibition "Mouvements de Terrain", she joined the Binome Gallery. Between 2016 and 2017, she is a member of the residency of the French Academy in Madrid, the Casa de Velazquez. She devotes herself to the development of the series "La noche oscura", exhibited throughout France and Spain.
