Biography
Laurent Jacquier graduated from Sciences Po Paris. He has always been interested in music, especially in the relationship between erudite and popular music. In 2009 he founded Le Cabaret Contemporain and in December 2012 he founded the production company Impulse !
Le Cabaret Contemporain is a band composed of professional musicians who graduated from Le Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris. They combine sound effects, improvised music, rock and electronic music.
Impulse ! received a residency at La Gaîté Lyrique where Laurent Jacquier is in charge of producing musical events that mix different types of music, classical and contemporary. He is also an adviser to the artists-in-residence program at Les Récollets in Paris which was created by the City of Paris and L'Institut Français.
