Disturbing me
"Disturbing me". With this headline, the French newspaper Libération this week warns of a trend in transport (trains, planes) and public places (hotels, restaurants...): the exclusion of children. Deemed too noisy or agitated by adults eager to remain calm at all costs, toddlers have been declared persona non grata in public spaces. Philosophy and education researcher Edwige Chirouter sees this attempt at invisibilization as a sign of "the rise of individualism".
