In 2008, Polaroid signalled the end of instant photography with the closure of its global film factories. Believing in the power of analog, the Impossible Project stepped in at the eleventh hour to buy the last remaining factory. Eight years later, we’re a global company producing the only original format instant film for classic Polaroid cameras, preventing over 200 million instant cameras from becoming relics and saving a valued artform from extinction.
