From one world to an other These two photographs are from the diary I kept in pictures and words on Instagram, during the first lockdown. They refer to the days of 17 and 18 April 2020. Looking at them a year later, and seeing how inevitable it was that they should follow each other in the chronology of this confinement, I am no longer sure where the portrait would be and where the landscape would be... The vessels that flush the tired eye, the wrinkles that draw a cartography of intimacy, the stains that remind me of the suns under which I have walked... And then, on the other side, reached in the blink of an eye, there is the cottony sea into which I escape and which leaves me longing for the most exciting of destinations. Looking at the sky is pleasant, but what I love most of all is to walk in it. It is there, in this suspended time above the world, that I find my essence, as one would extract that of a perfume.
