Photo professionals are folding up their notebooks and closing their portfolio boxes. Some are off to Paris, others to New York, Johannesburg, Rio or London. The week is drawing to a close, but for the enthusiasts, the dreamers and the curious, it's only just begun. Because from this weekend onwards, Arles and other towns in France will become image cities. With endless exhibitions and artists from all over the world, the month of July offers a veritable rendezvous with photography. The Rencontres d'Arles are awe-inspiring, La Gacilly invites you on a So British photo walk, Levallois reads History by the fountains and Perpignan is already fine-tuning its Visa programme. Wipplay wanted to pay homage to all these festivals that allow us to come together and share. Rencontre(s) is an album that lets us relive our encounters with photography and the places where we can share and look at the world and each other together.
