PHOTO MARSEILLE

The festival Photo Marseille is the first event entirely dedicated to contemporary photography in Marseille. Since its creation in 2011, the festival's main themes have been the discovery of young talents with the Maison Blanche Prize in particular, and the highlighting of recognized photographers of the contemporary scene (Martin Parr, Bernd and Hilla Becher, Robert Frank, Stephen Shore ) with a local orientation since 2015 (Franck Pourcel, André Merian, Geoffroy Mathieu, Monique Deregibus). The event is thus the link between the history of photography and its current practices through exhibitions and educational actions to the public (media visits, workshops, conferences). The tenth edition of the PHOTO MARSEILLE festival will take place in autumn.
