La Villa Pérochon

La Villa Pérochon, a center for contemporary photographic art, is located in Niort and is recognized as being of national interest by the Ministry of Culture. The emblematic event that is the Meetings of Young International Photography actively participates in its recognition at the national but also international level. All audiences are affected by its programming: 4 to 5 exhibitions per year and many cultural and training actions during the year for schoolchildren but also for all audiences. The Meetings of Young International Photography bring together every year, for around twenty days in creation residency, eight international artists emerging around a renowned artist or personality like the most recent Denis Dailleux, Françoise Huguier, Klavdij Sluban, Olivier Culmann, Isabel Muñoz, Corinne Mercadier and this year HJ Enström… Neither workshop nor masterclass this unique formula is a real carte blanche, a place for experimentation, confrontation and artistic research. The recognition by professional artistic circles, amateurs and contemporary art networks of this event, in addition to the quality of the reception offered, is due to the spirit and the values ??prevailing during this event: the artistic requirement, freedom, sharing, respect and discovery. Today, more than ever, these values ??must be promoted for the emergence of the young artistic scene.
