It can seen on the foreground Spanish workers putting out railways and in the background the U-Boot-Bunker of Bordeaux. The U-Bunker located on the 2nd tidal basin of Bordeaux - Bacalan served for German submarines. At the same time, a flotilla of Italian submarines had the 1st tidal basin as a base
