Biographie

Laurent Chicoineau has been running the Quai des Savoirs since 2017 in Toulouse, a cultural center where sciences and art meet with the objective of sharing knowledge and building desirable futures together. After being a scientific commentator for Radio France, then multimedia designer, Laurent Chicoineau ran La Casemate from 2002 to 2017, the center of scientific, technical and industrial culture of Grenoble, where he produced many exhibitions about new technologies and their cultural and societal impacts. As an associate professor in Grenoble-Alpes University until 2016, he also created one of the first fablab in France in 2012, as well as initiated the french network Echosciences. Today, he leads the development of immersive exhibitions combining digital arts, gamification and contemporary knowledge.
