Monarch butterflies are an emblem of Mexican culture. They come here in the winter seeking shelter from the cold Canadian weather. I had the opportunity to visit a reservoir a few years back and it was one of the most amazing things I've behold. Thousands and thousands of butterflies flying all around us is something I'll never forget. Butterflies and other flying insects have long inspired inventors and designers and I think they will continue to do so. Their grace and fragile resilience can only be compared to that of the newest nanotechnologies.
