Pascal Dolémieux's tenderly amused way of seeing the world has earned him numerous awards: the Fondation Nationale de la Photographie award in 1981, the Prix Nièpce in 1983 and the first Prix Moins Trente du Centre National de la Photographie. His work has been exhibited internationally from New York to Berlin.
When the world resists his approach, he creates and photographs the dreams that he would like to share. With calm effort, a sharp eye and an easy-going demeanor, his subtle vision weaves its way through the cracks of appearances with an epicurean smoothness.
Looking at his photographs is to experience a dreamy delight in those small magic moments of our being. The vast range of his visual creations has led him to work in many fields. He took part in the creation of the photo agencies VU, Metis and Rapho. He is currently represented by La Company and Picture Tank.
