Biography

Artist and director born in Lebanon, graduated in Orthoptics from Pierre et Marie Curie Faculty of Medicine, Rima Samman interrupts her thesis in Arab Sociolinguistics at the New Sorbonne to work in cinema, where she occupies various positions on many author films, while writing and directing her own movies. A multidisciplinary artist, her fiction films have been pre-purchased by France 3 and Arte and awarded at numerous festivals, while his experimental films and essays are shown in festivals, museums and theaters. Her work as an artist is currently exhibited at the Portrait (s) festival in Vichy, and her book L’amour se porte au cou (Love is worn like a necklace) has just been published by Filigranes.
