Biography
Tony Frank is a French photographer born in 1945. He began his career in the 1960s and was one of the leading photographers for the French magazine Salut les copains, showcase of a whole generation, created in 1962 by Daniel Filipacchi. He also worked for Hit Magazine until 1975. He then joined the agency Sygma Corbis and collaborated with many magazines such as Paris-Match, Gala, VSD and with major recording companies on CD covers and posters.
He was the official photographer of Johnny Hallyday for many years. Tony Frank has been the official photographer for many French and international pop musicians and movie stars, including: Serge Gainsbourg, Michel Polnareff, Julien Clerc, Véronique Sanson, Louis Armstrong, Charles Aznavour, Nathalie Baye, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Jane Birkin, James Brown, Ray Charles, Dalida, Alain Delon, Catherine Deneuve, Bob Dylan, Marianne Faithfull, Claude François, Jean-Luc Godard, Mick Jagger, Tom Jones, Madonna, Mireille Mathieu, Tina Turner, The Who, Sylvie Vartan, etc.
