Yohanne Lamoulère was born in 1980, not far from the Mediterranean. She graduated from L'École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles in 2004, and eventually moved to Marseille.
Yohanne never had the fiber of the mercenary portraitist, whose framing would obediently erase the person fallen in disgrace to better include the "son of" promised a bright future. She prefers the company of people. Not because it would have made a thick concept, but because it is where it lives. She puts her own in her images without ever switching into navelism, that bottomless subjectivity that makes the world more opaque than it really is.
Yohanne Lamoulère is represented by Tendance Floue.
She collaborates with the French and foreign press: Libération and Le Monde, Le Nouvel Observateur, Causette and Télérama, La Republica in Italy and Der Spiegel in Germany.
