Chambéry, the heart of Savoy. Home to a rich history and to the oldest dinasty in Europe, Chambéry developed over the ages to become an alpine landmark. As a close cousin of Milano and Torino, it hosts famous fashion shops along the long alleys. On the rue de Boigne, shoppers shop while flâneurs wander, from the Quatre Eléphants fountain to the Place du Château. I captured this moment to express the dullness that can be felt under the shade of these long alleys where shops are align tastelessly, each as impersonal as others. World heritage is just there as the vault of modern trade where tradition has disappeared to benefit profit.
