Biographie

Pierre René-Worms is at the Head of the France Media Monde photo service since 2013.
He began his career as photojournalist in 1976 at the Afro Music newspaper and has been following the music of the African continent ever since. Editor-in-chief of many pan-African magazines in the 80s and 90s (Afrique Elite, Voix d'Afrique, Top Ambiance), he joined RFI in 1997 to create the first site dedicated to music from the French-speaking world, rfimusique.com. In 2007, he joined RFI's co-publishing department, which he will become responsible for in 2011. Pierre René-Worms has also covered 11 African Cup of Nations football tournaments since 1988 and has written two books about it: "2010, the year of African football" and "La légende de la CAN".
