Biographie
Lives and works in Paris and in Italy.
Born in Benin, Thierry Konarzewski spends first years of his life in Africa where the animism permeates strongly his plastic imagination.
Art director in the advertising, he quickly creates his own agency while keeping feeding his esthetic attraction and his interest for the memory of things. They realize installations of items of lost property in the nature and the workplaces.
In 2000, its cans failed in the creeks of the island of San Pietro in Sardinia who decide on his work of photographic writing: our waste is for him a metaphor of the human soul, our report with the body, the death and the sacred. Its also speak to us about our society, of its past and of its future.
Since he was nominated at the price Pictet Consumption for his series Enosim and finalist of the LensCulture Hearth Awards on 2015 for After-party Tea Intended. His works are a part of prestigious collections as those of JP Morgan Chase Art and the Foundation EDF.
