Biography

Anie Barreto is a photographer and craftswoman. She lives in Fortaleza/CE. Since 2015, she has worked on fashion campaigns for David Lee (CE), Marina Bitu (CE), Retroagir (CE), Maria Tangerina (SP), Arvoredo (CE), ARO (RJ).

In addition to fashion photography, she mixes lines, words and images in the search for understanding her own language. She has dedicated herself to researching different photographic languages and the hybrid possibilities in image making. She is currently collecting traces of past experiences to understand current ones, with the purpose of making herself believe that there are ways to self-heal and reverberate affections for an existence based on dignity.

With the works "Sob muitos sols" (Under many suns) - an acrylic painting, and Firmamento (Firm) - a series of photographs, she was selected for the 72nd and 71st Salão de Abril, with works exhibited at Casa Barão de Camocim in Fortaleza/CE.
