Biography
Dune Varela was born in Paris in 1976. After studying law in Paris and cinema in New York, she made a number of short films and worked on documentaries. She went on to concentrate on analog photography, with a special emphasis on landscapes and its representation. Her most recent series reveal a turn to a more malleable, even sculptural approach to the image. She lives and works in Montreuil, France.
