Biographie

Gaël Clariana was born in 1971. He teaches at the Faculty of Arts in Amiens. Graduate of the ÉSAD in 1998, photographer, he divides his activities between personal researches and commissioned work (heritage, cinema...).
He had a revelation for this artistic middle at the age of ten, he considers this practice magical, fascinating and captivating, from then on he will never stop photographing. At the age of 17, he acquired his first laboratory and improve the practice of printing, which he found essential to the extension of photographic recording, but also a way of modelling light. Very early on he thinks about the validity of colour and its emotional's capacity. He meets William Eggleston who confirms his choice of using colour photography in his work.
