Biographie

Géraldine Lay graduated from the École nationale supérieure de la photographie in 1997 and lives and works in Arles. In 2003, she joined forces with three photographers for a collective project that was exhibited and published in 2005 under the title Un mince vernis de réalité (Filigranes). In 2006, she initiated a series of portraits in the streets of Rome, then continued this research with Les Failles ordinaires in various cities in Northern Europe. In 2010, she published Où commence la scène (Diaphane), at the end of her residency at Photaumnales in Beauvais
