Biographie

First prize of the Ecole national Louis lumiere , Lionel Charrier made photo reports on post-war Bosnia with portraits of young inhabitants of Sarajevo. He was a picture editor of the Magnum Agency an then started working as a freelance photographer. He works for European newspapers such as  El Pais, NZZ (Neue Zürcher Zeitung), L'Hebdo de Lausanne or  De Standaart Magazine et for French newpapers such as  Le Monde, L'Express, La Vie, Elle and particularly Libération. His work was exhibited in Arles in 2000 and 2007 and Le Memorial de Caen  (2004), shown in for la nuit d'été (2005, 2007,2008), published in Aman Iman and Magazine. He successfully handles his daily work in the French press and his international photo coverage.
