Biographie
After his first show in 2007 at the Splendid, Bataclan and the Olympia, Manu Payet started his career in movies. After several appearances, namely in « Comme t’y es belle" by Lisa Azuelos or in "Hello Goodbye" alongside Gerard Depardieu and Fanny Ardent, he obtained his first major role in the movie "Coco" from Gad Elmaleh, which realized more than 3 million entries at the box office.
He then appeared in successful comedies like “L’amour c’est mieux à deux”, "RTT", "Les Infidèles", or even "Radiostars" and "Tout ce qui brille", both award winners at the Alpe d'Huez festival.
In 2010, for several months at the Edouard VII theater, he featured alongside Jean-Pierre Mariel and Audrey Dana in the play written by Jean-Claude Carrière : "Audition".
In 2014, he starts a career as film writer/director with a first movie : "Situation amoureuse c'est compliqué", also featuring Anaïs Demoustier, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Phlippe Duquesne.
The movie won the Grand Prix at the Alpe d'Huez festival that same year.
He plays in the second feature film from Emma Luchini : "Un début prometteur" (released September 30[sup]th[/sup] this year), and alongside Audrey Lamy in the movie "d'Un coup à prendre " from Cyril Gelblat and Pascal Demolon, soon to be released.
He just finished the shooting of the movie “Damoclès” from Manuel Chapira for ARTE, and is currently working on the scenarios of 3 new feature films.
