Biography

Born in 1976, Sylvain BONNIOL lives and works in Nantes. A graduate of the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Nantes in 2000, he is now a photographer and author. His approach revolves around questions relating to man and his environment. Involving both documentary and visual issues, Sylvain Bonniol sees his projects as visual narratives capable of activating a memory of future territories, between places and their occupants. His work, regularly published, has been the subject of several exhibitions and awards.
